Where the name came from
Susanna Rivas built the painting practice on her own, one project at a time, and had a mark drawn for it years before there was anything to put it on: the state of Arizona, paint running off its northern edge, two rollers crossed underneath. It was printed on a card and carried around long enough that the card is now the only surviving copy.
The original artwork file was lost. The badge on this site was rebuilt from a photograph of that card — the same silhouette, the same drips, the same crossed rollers — redrawn as clean vector so it can be printed at any size without losing the hand that made it.
It is not a logo that was designed for a brand. It is a brand that grew up around a logo, which is why the work still looks like somebody made it rather than specified it.
Working standards
Protection, scope, and closeout remain visible from the first walkthrough to the last.
Tarps, plastic sheeting and film, or rosin paper are selected for the property and work area.
Preparation, coating system, exclusions, sequence, price, and schedule are confirmed before work begins.
The agreed scope is reviewed with the client, and missed items are resolved before the project closes.
Licensed and bonded
Chromatic holds an active Arizona contractor license and carries the bond the state requires for it.
Where we work
Painting projects are available across Greater Phoenix. Mural commissions are available throughout Arizona, subject to access, schedule, and project fit.
